I
ran for a School Committee position three years ago because I was inspired by
the commitment of many parent volunteers to improve our student educational
experience.
Today
I run for re-election for the same reasons: Passionate and knowledgeable
volunteers are critically important to the continuing success of our school
system. I ask for your support and your
vote as I did three years ago so I can serve as your school committee member
with passion, dedication, a fair and open mind, knowledge, and experience.
During
the past three years, I have served proudly and, I believe, effectively as your
School Committee member by making informed decisions for the educational
benefit of our students while balancing the needs of all stakeholders including
teachers, administrators, parents, and residents.
In
the coming term, I pledge to serve as your School Committee member with the
same level of energy and the great
benefit of three years of insight and experience.
My
personal experience as an educator, my management skills in for-profit
business, my cultural and educational background, and my intimate understanding
of school educational and budgetary issues make me uniquely qualified as your
School Committee member. Please vote
for me on March 30th.
